ITINERARY

DAY01 Arrival at Yangon (Welcome to Myanmar)

Welcome to Yangon, upon arrival, you will be greeted by our local friendly guide. After a short briefing, make your first visit stop at Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha, Move on to hotel for check in, and overnight in Yangon.

DAY02 Yangon > Bagan (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Yangon international airport to take a flight to Bagan. On your Bagan sightseeing tour make a first stop at Nyaung Oo market, where you can learn a traditional way of exchanging foods and goods. Continue with a visit to the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda for an introduction into Bagan’s rich history. Then, transfer to one of Bagan area’s rural village to observe how villagers makes its living by producing various items from the toddy palm trees. After a short refreshment, visit Ananda Paya, well known for its unique architecture and Bagan’s most massive temple with the finest brick work of Dhamayangyi Temple, continue on to visit Lacquer ware workshops to observe the traditional making process of Myanmar souvenir. After the whole day of exploring the richness of Bagan why not spend the evening on upper terrace of one of the temple, admire the panoramic view of entire ruins under most wonder sunset. Conclude the day with Myanmar traditional set dinner in a local restaurant, dinner will include puppetry entertainment show. Overnight in Bagan.

DAY03 Bagan > Inle Lake (B)

After breakfast, bidding farewell to Bagan and fly to Heho airport. Upon arrival, meet and assist by local guide and drive to Mine Tauk village (if time permit we will stop at a winery factory along the way for a short refreshment, you will able to stop for photos, wine tasting etc). Thereafter, onboard the private motorboat and an exciting day takes you in Inle Lake. Enjoy seeing the scenic beauty and unique leg rowing fishermen, Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, floating firms, traditional weaving villages and the unique ethic daily life, conclude this evening in the fresh and tranquility surrounding with beautiful sunset in the lake, afterwards, we’ll transfer back to hotel, enjoy the stay in the lake.

DAY04 Inle Lake > Yangon (B, L)

Breakfast at hotel, a fresh day to enjoy traditional dining experience in a local farmer’s home. The activity offers a unique way to enjoy home cooked Intha lunch as well as a good spot to meet the farmer’s family and experience how they make living on the lake. After lunch, transfer to Nyaung Shwe jetty then transfer to Heho airport to take your flight bound for Yangon. En route visit at umbrella workshop to observe how traditional Pathein umbrella is made. Upone arrival at Yangon, drive  to hotel for check in.

DAY 05 Yangon (B)

After breakfast, set off an enjoyable hop on hop off journey around Yangon downtown area on an open air trishaw. Each pair of clients on board one trishaw with local driver and ride through the Yangon Heritage buildings such as Minister’s Office(famous as the location where General Aung San was assassinated in 1947), only exterior view, continue on to Pansuriya restaurant, great place to enjoy both Myanmar art and food at the same time, and stop at Hla Day social enterprise for last minutes shopping to Myanmar handmade crafts, clothing, paper mache animal and many other local products done by people from marginalized communities (it is also a great way to shop responsibly and supporting disadvantaged groups) and from there head to the heart of Yangon for orientation of Yangon city’s popular attractions such as Independent monument in Mahabandoola park and it’s neighboring colonial heritage buildings. Thereafter, visit the magnificent Shwe Dagon Pagoda (said to be the most revered Buddhist edifice in the world), built over 2600 years old dome-like Buddhist shrine gilded with gold and encrusted with jewels. Check in to Hotel and overnight in Yangon.

DAY 06 Yangon > Departure (B)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for your departure flight to complete this unique experience.

Day 01 Yangon arrival              Meals ( D )

Welcome to Yangon, upon arrival at Yangon International airport, you will be greeted and assist by our friendly guide. Our first stop will visit Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha), and a photo-stop at Karaweik(a water bird from Indian Pre-history) which represents a fine work of traditional Myanmar architecture, proceed to downtown area for orientation of Yangon city’s popular attractions such as Independent monument in Mahabandoola park and it’s neighboring colonial heritage buildings. Move on to hotel for check in, and overnight in Yangon.

Day 02 Yangon – Golden Rock Pagoda(Kyaikhtiyo)       Meals ( B / L / D )

Breakfast at hotel, depart for Bago, En-route stop at Htauk Kyan war memorial and move on to Bago for country famous Kha Khat Waing monastery to observe Buddhist monks and novices daily activities. After lunch continue to Mt. Kyaikhiyo (Golden Rock Pagoda). Arrive at Kin pun base camp, on board an open truck and continue up to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda pilgrimage site. The rock is completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of the cliff. Observe the mystical beauty of this sacred site. Overnight in Mt. Kyaikhtiyo.

Day 03 Kyaikhtiyo – Yangon

After breakfast, continue by road to Yangon. Visit Bogyoke Market which was built in 1920, wide choice of jeweleries, Jade, ruby, precious stone and Myanmar traditional clothes, souvenir, paintings and handicrafts are on sale. Next visit the magnificent Shwe Dagon Pagoda, over 2600 years old dome-like Buddhist shrine gilded with gold and encrusted with jewels, said to be the most revered Buddhist edifice in the world. Proceed to hotel for check in.

Day 04 Yangon – Mandalay      Meals ( B / L / D )

After breakfast, transfer to airport to catch a flight bound for Mandalay. Mandalay was the last kingdom as well as the center of the Myanmar cultural, tradition, arts and crafts. Upon arrival, transfer to visit Mandalay’s most important religious structure, the Mahamuni Buddha image(Phayagyi or Great Pagoda). Move on to visit local workshops to observe how kalaga tapestries being made, marble being carved into Buddha images, and gold leaf being beaten into paper-thin pieces. Next visit beautiful Mandalay golden palace, Shwenandaw Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda, where houses “the world’s largest book” inscribed with the Theravada Buddhist scriptures on 729 marble slabs, evening drive up to Mandalay hill for a fantastic overview of the entire plain. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 05 Mandalay departure      Meals ( B )

After breakfast, drive to Burmese’s former capital city “Amarapura” to visit Mahagandayon Monastery (home to several thousand of Buddhist navies and monks) and observe the lunch process, continue on to one of Myanmar most iconic sights, U Bein bridge, the teak bridge in traditional style, stretching over scenic Taungthaman Lake. Next, transfer to airport for your departure flight to complete this unique experience.
